AF075: SGNH-hydrolase family
- Pfam domains
- PF00657: GDSL-like Lipase/Acylhydrolase
Biochemical properties
This family includes several lipolytic enzymes with serine as part of the active site, which show a diverse range of activities such as lipase, arylesterase, carbohydrate esterase, and phospholipase [1].
Allergological significance
Hev b 4, a glycoallergen from Hevea brasiliensis latex is a lecithinase [2]. IgE binding to this allergens is directed exclusively to its glycan moieties. A second latex allergen from this protein family, Hev b 13, is also a glycoprotein [3].
