In February 2007, the Medical University of Vienna International signed a management agreement with the Tripoli Medical Center in Tripoli, Libya. The Tripoli Medical Center is a public hospital with 1,300 beds and 4,000 employees, which is to be restructured, based on the health reform initiated by the Libyan state. The Medical University of Vienna International is responsible for staff training, development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), and medical consultation.
Knowledge transfer - Vienna to Tripoli In Tripoli, the "staff exchange program" between the Medical University of Vienna and the Triopoli Medical Center will also contribute to an improved understanding of the cultures of the two countries. The Medical University of Vienna International has taken advantage of this opportunity to participate in another project designed to increase international recognition of the Medical University of Vienna.
