Example: First page of November 1997; the
names of patients have been erased
Procedure: For each patient who was operated and for each day of the year, a horizontal bar is entered by the computer via automatic importation of data from the documentation system. This bar indicates the duration of anaesthesia, localized in terms of day of the week, operating room and 24-hour clock time
Interpretation:
* Every day in the main operating rooms multiple inductions are administered in an
overlapping fashion.
* Every day in the 5 main operating rooms a mean of 2-3 operations are performed well
beyond the usual working hours.
* Every week, a mean of 6 operations are performed at night
(after 22.00 hours or over midnight)
