I'm currently enrolled as a 4th-year medical student at the local university and will soon finish the second section of the curriculum.
My project relates to Interleukin-10 signaling in colorectal cancer.
Interleukin-10 is an immunoregulatory cytokine, whose main function is limitation and ultimately termination of inflammatory responses.
Its role in the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease, as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, is under comprehensive research.
The function in colon cancer is somehow blurry though.
My personal aim is to do my bit to bring some clarification on this situation.
