Travel

Gosau is located south of Salzburg about 1 hour driving distance by car.

Travelers driving to Gosau by car should leave the Salzburg - Vienna free way (Westautobahn) at the exit Regau, at about half distance between Salzburg and Linz. Headed south, you will pass Gmunden and Bad Ischl before reaching Gosau. Let us know if you need more precise directions.
More importantely, please do not drive if you are inexperienced in driving on icy and snowy mountain roads.

There are flights from every major european airport to Salzburg. Detailed flight schedules for arrival and departure at the Salzburg Airport will facilitate planning your travel. Shuttle transportation service from Salzburg airport to the venue as well as from the main train station "Salzburg Hbf" will be available at a one way fare of 25.- USD. Schedule and pick-up locations for the shuttle busses will be announced on the net.

European train schedules are also available; unfortunately, the Österreichische Bundesbahn implemented this service in German only. The Deutsche Bahn AG seems to offer the largest data-set of international train connections in both English and German. Another closely related train schedule is available from Nederlandse Spoorwegen.
