Abstract. This paper addresses Multicriteria Decision Problems, and focuses on two types of methodologies: The one is based on data fusion and applied to a problem of contour extraction in a muscle image, the other one is based on the theory of possibilities combined with mathematical morphology, and is illustrated via a problem of classification of patients. Besides the very good results obtained in the first case, and the promising simulation in the second case, the interest of these proposed methodologies lies in the fact they are very generic
and easily transferable in many other various fields.
