Abstract. This article deals with the applicability of the constraint network formalism in the representation and reasoning on the evolution of patients admitted to a medical unit. This is carried out on the integration of the Multivariable Fuzzy Temporal Profile (MFTProfile) model, which undertakes the recognition of patterns in the evolution of a set of physical parameters; and the Fuzzy Temporal Pattern (FTPattern), which describes a network of hypothetical diagnoses and their corresponding manifestations.
