Overwiev:
The WBLMed (WebBased Learning in Medicine) project is conceived as IT support for courses to be held at the Medical University of Vienna. Taking advantage of web-based technologies, WBLMed provides the contents of the curriculum for students and teachers equally.

Following some guidelines given by the WBLMed concept, teachers prepare their lectures in the usual way - most frequently as PowerPoint or Word files. The WBLMed service team takes care of the conversion of the files into browser format.

Results:
So far, some presentations have been compiled for "passive" use; one lecture (hemoatology) is designed for interactive learning, which required only a small number of additional guidelines for the instructor to prepare the PowerPoint files of the complete course.
