From the Airport to the hotel:
1. Find the train station. There are two different trains leaving from the airport. One is the "City Airport Train" (CAT) which is faster (by 10 min) and more comfortable, but also more expensive (€ 8 + €1.50). The other one is the "Schnellbahn" which is much cheaper (€ 3).
If you choose the Schnellbahn, take the line S2 to Wien Mitte (Landstrasse). The City Air Terminal, which is the destination of the CAT is located within the same station. You must buy a ticket before you enter the train, as this is far cheaper. Your destination will be "Vienna" (ticket prices are the same to all destinations in the city).
2. If you took the CAT to Vienna, you must now buy a ticket for the public transport in Vienna. If you came by Schnellbahn and paid €3 then this is already included. Take the underground line U3 (orange) going to Simmering and leave at station Gasometer (the 5th after Landstrasse). You have to walk a short distance to the hotel.

From the hotel to the Medical University
Take the U3 in the direction of Ottakring, leave at Landstrasse.
From there take the U4 in the direction of Heiligenstadt, leave at Friedensbrücke.
Next take the tram number 5 in the direction of Westbahnhof, leave at Lazarettgasse.
You are now at the back entrance of the Medical University. In this map, it is the red dot on the right side of the picture, labelled "Straßenbahnlinie 5 und 33". Now walk to the building labelled "Medizinische Universität".
The Jugendstilhörsaal (Art Nouveau lecture hall) is on the 3rd floor and will be indicated well.
