Registration to courses has to be done electronically via MedCampus!


In principle there is no minimum/maximum of semester hours to be attended each semester. Courses offered by other thematic programs (than the officially chosen one) can be taken as well as far as they fit the scientific background of the thesis project. In the latter case it is recommended to inform the program coordinator of the officially chosen thematic program.

At the end of the studies the required semester hours* of

4 semester hours* Basic Seminars,
12 semester hours* Journal Clubs, 
12 semester hours* Thesis Seminars
4 semester hours* Practical Seminars
and
6 semester hours* Propedeutics

must have been completed.
* 1 semester hour = appr. 11 hours (15 academic hours á 45 minutes)

For attendance at the courses of your choice you need a valid inscription *) resp. "Mitbelegung"*) at the Medical University of Vienna !!!
The results of the courses can be seen on MedCampus at the end of the semester by using your personal account.

*) Inscription:
Takes about 10 days after you paid your semester fee. The confirmation will be sent via mail. (Info in German please see under: Studienbeitrag)

**) Mitbelegung: Students of any other Austrian university may do the so-called "Mitbelegung" in order to attend courses at the Medical University of Vienna. (Info in German please see under: Mitbelegung )
