SEVENTH FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME

Meetings

There will a TranSVIR Annual Meeting at the end of each of the four funded years. The Meetings will be hosted in rotation by each of the Academic Partners and will reflect their specific expertise. They will last for three days with the first day being a closed meeting exclusively for members of the Network. The programme will consist of short presentations by the ERC, expert seminars on topics drawn from the TranSVIR Curriculum and state of the art lectures visiting scientists and members of the TranSVIR Scientific Advisory Board etc. The second and third days will be open to up to 50 attendants from outside the Network and will consist of presentations from the researchers in the hosts research group and from invited speakers.

The meetings will be organized as follows:

1st TranSVIR Annual Meeting
Host:
Partner 1 - MUW, Vienna.
Scientific topic: Antigen presentation and disease markers in autoimmunity.

2nd TranSVIR Annual Meeting
Host: Partner 2 - University of Cambridge
Scientific topic: Genetics of Auto-immune disease
Visiting scientist: Lars Nitschke
Expert seminar lectures;
Associated workshop: Biomarker Discovery and Use in Vascular Inflammation and Beyond

3rd TranSVIR Annual Meeting
Host: Partner 4 - Trinity College Dublin
Expert seminar lectures; University-Industry Partnering Opportunity
Associated workshop: Biomarkers in the development of anti-angiogenic agents for cancer therapy (Partner 7, AstraZeneka)

4th TranSVIR Annual Meeting
Host: Partner 3 - University Leiden
Scientific topic: Complement pathology and rodent models of inflammation.
Expert seminar lectures; Summary of the research results and training goals of Network achieved.
