Consulting, projects and also contract research with industrial partners included a variety of different tasks, e.g.
- Analysis of historical election data from 1848
- Neural Networks for Credit Risk Management
- Analysis of the performance of dental devices
- Programming of the database WALDDAT for forest inventory
- Programming of the 1st version of WALDSIM, a simulation program for sampling forest data
- Prediction of sales figures for a known German catalogue company, using Neural Networks
- Project AENEAS: Modeling the behavior of a steel mill, in cooperation with Siemens
- Co-organization of a NIPS-Workshop 1998 about "Continuous Learning"
- Analysis of dependencies at a commodity market, for a known German company
- Forecasting orders for one of the largest dairy farms in Germany
- Automatically recognizing the current traffic situation with respect to the surrounding traffic,
for one of the biggest car producers in Germany.
- Project of forecasting electricity loads
- Analysis of dependencies in the glass production process
- Development of algorithms in the realm of traffic management systems
- EU-Project MONOTONE dealing with
Automatic Quality Control for Industrial Printing (tile production in the ceramics industry).
- EU-Project SENSATION, dealing with the development of sensors
for attention, stress, vigilance & sleep/wakefulness monitoring
- Analysis of stroke data from patients in Lower Austria

I like to travel, to take photographs and to ride my bicycle, if possible I combine all three interests.
