The international Summer School in Vienna is offering an intensive program for motivated medical students in oncology.

The aims are to help students to become familiar with cancer care in general health practice to reduce fear for patients with a malignant disease and to learn more about cancer related problems in other countrys.

The program will include lectures, discussions and case presentations. Participants are requested to present a poster on an oncologic topic related to their home countries. Last but not least a social program will be organized.

Guidelines for poster design / presentation

• Clear structure ( (1): introduction, (2) material&methods, (3) results, (4) conclusion, remark: the structure can be adapted if necessary)

• Be aware that your poster should be easily readable and understandable. Do not add too detailed information, but rather refer to the major findings of your study. Images, graphics etc. are important if they facilitate comprehension of your study, but do not overcrowd the poster.

• Format: 120 cm (3.28 ft) high x 100 cm (3.94 ft) wide

• Presentation time: max. 10 minutes

• Discussion time: 5 minutes
