The Georg Stary Lab at the Department of Dermatology, Medical University of Vienna focuses on “Translational Immunology in Mucosa and Skin (TIMS)”. We study the role of immune cells in host – pathogen interactions upon physiological and pathological conditions of the skin and mucosal membranes. We combine high-level clinical research with human tissue and mouse models with cutting-edge techniques that allow us to address relevant questions with the goal to ultimately translate the results to clinics.
