COLLOQUIUM IN PATHOPHYSIOLOGY, INFECTIOLOGY AND IMMUNOLOGY
Invitation
Per-Eric Lindgren is currently professor and chair in Medical Microbiology, Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, Linköping University, Linköping Sweden. Lindgren has a PhD-degree in Molecular Microbiology from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala, 1992. After a post-doc in Tübingen, Germany, Lindgren had different positions at SLU, Uppsala, and later at Linköping University, since 2010 professor at the Faculty of Medicine. During the research carrier Lindgren has worked with molecular genetics, epidemiology and pathogenesis of staphylococci and streptococci, antibiotics and resistance development in drinking water as well as in waste water. During the last decade the research has focused on tickborne infections – epidemiology, diagnostics, pathogenesis, caused by bacteria, viruses and parasites.
