Rudolf Valenta (IPA) wins mega-grant of the Russian government
The Russian government has held its 6th competition inviting international top researchers to apply for a series of mega-grants. This year, Prof. Rudolf Valenta is one of the 35 winners from 12 countries.
The funding, worth a total of RUR 90 million (appr. 1.2 million euros), will support scientific research for three years (2018-2020) in cooperation with Russian universities and scientific institutions.
Prof. Rudolf Valenta's research project:
“From the immune recognition of the major birch pollen allergen Bet v 1 towards specific diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive strategies for birch pollen-associated allergy”.
The research will be conducted in collaboration with the National Research Center "Institute of Immunology" in Moscow.
