WissenschafterinnenNetzWerk Medizin (Women's Medical Science Network, wnw-med) was honored with this year's Veronika-Fialka-Moser-Diversity-Award in the category “engagement” for the wnw-medNOST project that supports foreign medical doctors in the validation process for their degree at the MedUni Vienna.
MedUni Vienna is awarding the Veronika-Fialka-Moser-Diversity-Award in order to stimulate and encourage a conscious approach to diversity and promote tolerance at the MedUni Vienna. This award rewards engagements and activities in this area to make diversity visible. Wnw-med will use the prize money of 2000 Euros to continue the wnw-medNOST project.
wnw-med has been founded at the MedUni Vienna. The aims of wnw-med are exchange of information, mutual support in research and carrier, mentoring young academics, cooperation with other networks of (female) scientists, planning and conducting joint research projects, and organizing advanced training.
CePII staff members Ruth Herbst (IFI) as well as Eva Untersmayr-Elsenhuber, Isabella Ellinger and Enikö Kallay (all IPA) are members of wnw-med.
