Fantastische Bilanz des ICC Water & Health bei der 37. Jahrestagung der ÖGHMP

Nach CoVID-19 bedingter zweimaliger Absage und mit zweijähriger Verspätung konnte die 37. Jahrestagung der ÖGHMP (Österr. Gesellschaft für Hygiene, Mikrobiologie und Präventivmedizin) vom 31. Mai bis 2. Juni in Bad Ischl endlich über die Bühne gehen.

Nach CoVID-19 bedingter zweimaliger Absage und mit zweijähriger Verspätung konnte die 37. Jahrestagung der ÖGHMP (Österr. Gesellschaft für Hygiene, Mikrobiologie und Präventivmedizin) vom 31. Mai bis 2. Juni in Bad Ischl endlich über die Bühne gehen. Vor allem für die meisten der Jungforscher und Jungforscherinnen des Interuniversitären Kooperationszentrums Wasser und Gesundheit (ICC Water and Health, www.waterandhealth.at), zu dem unsere Abteilungen Wasserhygiene und Wassermikrobiologie unter der Leitung von Prof. Regina Sommer bzw. Prof. Alexander Kirschner am Institut für Hygiene und Angewandte Immunologie, Zentrum für Pathophysiologie, Infektiologie und Immunologie gehören, war es die erste Gelegenheit ihre Ergebnisse in Vorträgen und Postern einem breiten wissenschaftlichen Publikum zu präsentieren und zu diskutieren.

Und das lange Warten hat sich gelohnt: Das ICC Water & Health Team wurde mit einem wahren Preisregen für die tolle Arbeit der letzten Jahre belohnt. Nicht weniger als 5 wissenschaftliche Preise (Österr. Hygienepreis 2021 und 2022, Krankenhaus- und Betriebshygienepreis 2020 und 2022 und der Österr. Mikrobiologiepreis 2020), der ÖGHMP Hygiene Grant 2020, 2 ÖGHMP Posterpreise 2022 sowie 4 ÖGHMP Tagungsstipendien 2022 wurden von unseren Jungforschern und Jungforscherinnen gewonnen. Eine Übersicht über die insgesamt 12 Auszeichnungen ist unter folgendem Link* zu finden. Insgesamt 7 Vorträge und 9 Poster haben zusätzlich zu den Auszeichnungen die starke Präsenz des ICC Water & Health im Fachgebiet Wasser und Gesundheit eindrucksvoll gezeigt.
