Within the frame of the European Forum Alpbach, which was dedicated this year to the motto „Justice – Responsibility for the Future“, the concept „ Safe Drinking Water in the 21st Century“ was introduced to the public. The presentation was held by the head of the ICC Water & Health, PD. Dr. Andreas Farnleitner, in which the tremendous importance of safe drinking water for a fair and responsible development of the global society was elaborated within an international context. To meet the requirements of such an important task – to ensure the supply with high quality drinking water for future generations – the cooperation of various disciplines is essential. The ICC Water & Health has been founded between the Vienna University of Technology and the Medical University Vienna with the aim to perform interdisciplinary and international top research and education within the field of “Water and Health”.
