The day-to-day routine on the ward is divided up into diverse functions:
The orthopaedist, the anaesthetist and internal specialist, if needed, will answer any questions regarding the forthcoming operation and if needed arrange any open diagnostic examinations or therapeutic measures.
The nursing staff plan and co-ordinate the individual nursing care with you. Your field of care is arranged according to your case history. The nursing staff prepare the patient for the forthcoming operation and care for those patients already operated. As our nursing staff work in two shifts, you will have two different contact persons in the nursing team.
The doctors make a daily ward round and enquire about the state of your recovery. Any special treatment such as physiotherapy, plaster cast application or diagnostic measures are spread over the day.
Meal times: Early morning approx. 7.30 am – lunch: approx. 11.45 – evening: approx. 4:30 pm
