The Institute for Specific Prophylaxis and Tropical Medicine offers a comprehensive vaccination service for high-risk patients (e.g. immunosuppressed people, pregnant women, cancer patients, transplant patients etc.) and employees of MedUni Vienna. All necessary vaccinations are carried in our Institute. here. The electronic vaccination administration system documents all vaccinations (electronic vaccination card). As a special service, there is a recall system that automatically reminds you of necessary booster vaccinations.

The following vaccinations we offer (constantly) in our vaccination program

• Health Care Worker (HCW): hepatitis A+B, diphteria-tetanus-pertussis-poliomyelitis, measels- mumps-rubella, Varicellen, influenca, meningococcal, pneumococcal
• Vaccinations according to the Austrian Vaccination Plan
  
• Vaccination campaigns (depending on the season): FSME, Influenca, HPV, measles-mumps-rubella
• Planned Vaccination campaigns: diphteria-tetanus-pertussis-poliomyelitis, pneumococcal
• Travel vaccinations and travel medical advice

Who can be vaccinated

High-risk patients (e.g. immunosuppressed people, pregnant women, cancer patients, transplant patients etc.)

MedUni Vienna employees and their relatives, MedUni Vienna students and students during the clinical internship year (KPJ) and the necessary vaccinations for the clinical traineeship.

Unfortunately, due to the high volume of patients, we cannot provide any vaccvination information by phone or E-Mail, we kindly ask for your understanding.

Our Service includes

• Registration of the vaccination status and issue of a vaccination card
• Creation of an individual vaccination plan
• Vaccination documentation as a part of the electronic vaccine management system
• Recall System for booster vaccinations via E-Mail
• Travel vaccinations and travel medical advice

Costs

• The vaccination costs for health care workers are covered by the Rektorat
• HCW-vaccinations costs during the clinical internship year (KPJ) and the necessary vaccinations for the clinical traineeship are covered by the Rektorat (travel vaccinations are to be paid for yourself, information about HCW-vaccinations for clinical traineeship, Clinical Internship Year (KPJ) and Tertial
• Costs for individual vaccinations on request
