Prof. Erika Jensen-Jarolim, MD, is the previous head of the Institute of Pathophysiology and Allergy Research.
Since 2011 she holds the professorship for Comparative Medicine in a double appointment between the Medical University Vienna and University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, at the interuniversity Messerli Research Institute.
Erika Jensen-Jarolim is an immunologist and her research is dedicated to molecular diagnosis and therapy in human and animal patients. She is further inventor of vaccines against allergies and cancer and she has a specific interest in IgE responses in cancer.
Erika Jensen-Jarolim serves in prestigious boards and is member in several allergological societies such as the Collegium Internationale Allergologicum.
She s reviewer for funding agencies and journals and, among her activities in editorial boards, she is Chief-in-Editor of WAO journal.
