When talking about Gastronintestinal Immunology, it is important to consider all layers of the intestinal barrier (the microbiota, the mucosal epithelium and the immune system) as one compartment. Thus, our group aims to elucidate the crosstalk between these barrier-layers and to evaluate the impact of nutrition in health and disease.
