Successful year for Irfete Fetahu!
This year has been very successful for our Marie Curie Fellow and PhD student Irfete Fetahu from the group of Enikö Kallay.
Irfete was awarded the Youth Travel Fund Award from the Federation of European Biochemical Societies to attend the FEBS workshop on “Translating Epigenomes into Function: a Next Generation Challenge for Human Disease” which will take place in October 2013 in Capri, Italy.
In April she received the “Young Investigator Award” of the Austrian Society for Endocrinology and Metabolism (ÖGES) for her presentation entitled “Role of Epigenetic Alterations in Regulating the Expression of the Calcium Sensing Receptor in Colorectal Cancer”.
Irfete was one of the two young scientists who have received the Comprehensive Cancer Center Open Call Travel Fellowship 2013. She will use this award to attend the symposium: “Cancer Epigenomics” in Meliá, Spain.
