Invited lecture for Anastasia Mechtcheriakova at the World Congress on Advances in Oncology in Greece!
Anastasia Meshcheryakova, PhD student in the research group “Molecular Systems Biology and Pathophysiology” at the IPA, has been invited to give a lecture entitled “Sphingolipid machinery in EMT: from a cell-based model to pathobiology of lung cancer” at the 20th World Congress on Advances in Oncology and 18th International Symposium on Molecular Medicine, in Athens, Greece.
Her talk covered the multifaceted role of sphingolipids in health and disease and highlighted a novel role of the sphingolipid machinery during the epithelial to mesenchymal transition program in lung cancer. In addition, Anastasia was invited to chair a session at the same congress.
