Ein eben bewilligtes JPI HDHL knowledge platform Projekt zum Thema „Intestinal microbiomics“ involviert 52 Forschungsgruppen und wird an der MUW am CePII/IPA unter der Leitung von Assoc. Prof.in, Priv.-Doz.in, DDrin. Eva Untersmayr-Elsenhuber und Assoc. Prof.in Dr.in Mag.a Enikö Kallay durchgeführt, die auch als work package Leiter des Work Package 6 – Networking and training” fungieren. Ein besonderer Fokus dieses knowledge platform Projektes liegt in der Untersuchung des intestinalen Mikrobioms und wie dieses ein gesundes Leben beeinflusst, um Studien im Spannungsfeld zwischen Mikrobiota, Ernährung und Gesundheit voranzutreiben.

The member countries involved in the “Joint Programming Initiative - A Healthy Diet for a Healthy Life (JPI HDHL)” (currently 25 EU Member States, Associated Countries, Israel, Canada and New Zealand) aspire to contribute to the overall improvement of public health, prevention of nutrition-related illnesses, increase in quality of life and prolongation of productive Life span through coordinated actions and research initiatives.
The newly approved JPI HDHL knowledge platform project on "Intestinal microbiomics" is involving 52 research groups. The MedUni Wien is represented by the CePII / IPA under the lead of Assoc. Prof., Priv.-Doz., DDr. Eva Untersmayr-Elsenhuber and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mag. Enikö Kallay, who also act as leaders of Work Package 6 – Networking and training”. The special emphasis of this platform is the study of the intestinal microbiome and how the microbiom influences the healthy life with the main aim to advance studies focusing on the associations among microbiota, nutrition and health.
