Martin Schepelmann ist Researcher of the Month Juni 2023

Dr. Martin Schepelmann (Arbeitsgruppe Prof. Enikö Kallay) wurde als MedUni Wien Researcher of the Month für Juni 2023 ausgezeichnet. Prämiert wurde seine Arbeit am Protein „Calcium-Sensing Receptor“. Dr. Schepelmann und ein internationales Forschungsteam entdeckten eine völlig neue Funktion dieses Proteins in der Regulation des Kalziumhomöostase über die glatte Muskulatur der Blutgefäße [1]

Dr. Martin Schepelmann (group Prof. Enikö Kallay) has been named Researcher of the Month of the Medical University of Vienna June 2023 for his work on the protein called “Calcium-Sensing Receptor”. Dr. Schepelmann and an international team of scientists have discovered a completely novel role for this protein in the regulation of calcium homeostasis via vascular smooth muscle cells [1].
