Research Interests
Ongoing projects include Th2 memory in allergic asthma, Imaging experimental allergic asthma, Gene expression profiling in experimental models of allergic asthma, Epigenetics and allergic asthma, Effect of the environment on allergic disease, Testing for potential allergenicity of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), Allergic responses of novel biomaterials for tissue regeneration, Circadian rhythms and allergic disease, Lung antigen presenting cells, and Drug discovery.
Abstract
The experimental allergy laboratory focuses on the elucidation of the basic mechanisms underlying the initiation and perpetuation of allergic disease.
We use experimental models of allergy such as allergic asthma, to address disease susceptibility, the factors governing disease severity and chronicity, and drug discovery.
