It is expected that you have the knowledge of a basic lecture on Neurobiology (e.g. VO 300322 “Neurobiologie”, in German language at the University Vienna or similar lectures). Once you have this you are ready for the “Basics of Neuroscience” lecture series
Within the 45 lectures of “Basics of Neuroscience” you will learn about:
Developmental Neurobiology (Knoblich), Neuroanatomy (Voigtländer), Neuronal Cell Biology and Biochemistry (Scholze, Harkany), Neurophysiology (Hogri, Kronschläger), Cognitive Neurobiology (Klausberger, Lasztoczi, Lagler, Malagon Vina), Disorders of Neurotransmitter dysfunction (Pifl, Scholze), De- and Regeneration (Berger, Pifl, Wimmer Bradl), Neuroimmunology (Wimmer, Bradl).
The lecture always begins in October and is blocked with three units per day starting at 8:15 in the morning taking place in the large seminar room at the Center for Brain Research.
