At the Annual meeting of the Eurpoean Academy of allery and Clinical Immunology (EAACI), Heimo Breiteneder received the prestigious Paul Ehrlich Award for Experimental Research. With this award, the EAACI honoured Heimo's breakthrough achivements in moelular allergy research.

On May 8, 2019, Paweł Dubiela, a former member of the Karin Hoffmann-Sommergruber group, has received the Best PhD Thesis award 2018 for his thesis entitled Refined analytical methods for improved component resolved diagnosis in food allergy during the XI Training Conference of the Polish Society of Allergology.
