Kenshi Yao, MD, PhD is Professor and Head of the Department of Endoscopy at Chikushi Hospital, Fukuoka University. He is a world-renowned endoscopist who specialized in the quantitative assessment of advanced endoscopic imaging techniques. He described many cancer-specific features using recent endoscopic imaging technologies and published a variety of scientific papers and books in that field. Currently, he is focusing on magnifying endoscopy and NBI for the diagnosis of neoplasia in the upper GI tract. He had been frequently invited to international seminar courses and live demonstrations. At the same time, he is developing an e-learning system of endoscopic diagnosis which would be commonly available among international endoscopists.
