(Vienna, 23 March 2017) The Academy for Eating Disorders (AED) based in the USA is the world's largest association for research, education, treatment and prevention in the field of eating disorders and, since 2005, has been awarding its own Leadership Awards for Clinical, Administrative or Educational Service.  This year the award is going to Andreas Karwautz, Head of the Eating Disorders Unit at MedUni Vienna’s Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

The AED bestows this award on people who have provided outstanding service in terms of leadership, research, education and clinical practice for those suffering as the result of an eating disorder.
