MedUni Vienna among Top 100 in "Medicine" category of the QS World University Ranking

(Vienna, 27 February 2019) In the recently published, highly regarded "QS World University Ranking by Subject", the Medical University has made the leap into the Top 100 in the "Life Sciences and Medicine" category. Austria's largest medical university has climbed 15 places relative to the previous year (107), now occupying place 92.

MedUni Vienna continues to share joint position 51-100 in the "Medicine" category.

MedUni Vienna made its greatest improvements within the "Life Sciences and Medicine" category in its score for "Citations per Paper" (factor 86.4 as against 84 the previous year), Employer Reputation (55.9 as against 46.6) and Academic Reputation (75.1 as against 70.5).

The QS ranking is based on citation frequency and a survey of around 126,000 academics and employees from throughout the world regarding academic reputation and employability of graduates. The evaluation is based on a total of 42 specialist categories. Top of the ranking is Harvard University, closely followed by the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge.
