Judit Simon co-author of New Oxford Textbook of Psychiatry

(Vienna, Oxford, 15 April 2020) Judit Simon, Head of the Division of Health Economics at MedUni Vienna's Center for Public Health, is co-author of the New Oxford Textbook of Psychiatry, Third Edition, a standard work in the field of psychiatry. Judit Simon wrote the chapter on "Health economic analysis of service provision".

The New Oxford Textbook of Psychiatry is a famous standard work for psychiatrists and students of psychiatry. It is written and published by leading international authorities and offers a comprehensive overview of clinical psychiatry with reference to scientific principles. The book integrates biological, psychological and social approaches and offers the broadest possible coverage of the subject. The individual chapters combine an evidence-based approach with practical advice based on extensive clinical experience.

About Judit Simon
Judit Simon is Professor of Health Economics and Head of the Division of Health Economics at MedUni Vienna’s Center for Public Health and Honorary Professor for Cognitive Health Economics at the University of Oxford. Before that she was Senior Researcher in the Health Economics Research Centre at the University of Oxford. One of her main interests is the study of health economics in association with mental health and she is currently leading the EU H2020 project PECUNIA, which focuses on this subject. Her other major research interests are applied health economic analyses, healthcare research and health economic aspects of personalised medicine.
