Technology Transfer Office Responsibilities


  • Evaluating the patentability and commercial potential of employee inventions and technologies developed at the University
  • Protecting intellectual property (IP) by registering patent rights and utility models
  • Patent and licence management
  • Managing external licensing and/or sales of inventions and technologies
  • Liaising with funding organisations, commercialisation agencies and the private sector
  • Establishing networks with other universities and research institutes
  • Providing advice on questions relating to intellectual property rights (IPR), inventions and patents
  • Reviewing and drawing up contracts relating to IPR (material transfer agreements, confidential disclosure agreements, patent and licence agreements, cooperation agreements, etc.), in consultation with the University’s Legal Department
  • Raising awareness of IP issues (organising lectures, PhD symposia, workshops, etc.)
