Research interests

My main research focus are: investigation of Pathogenesis of periodontal disease: clinical studies, salivary markers, cell culture models; Tissue regeneration: mechanisms underlying the activity of different bioactive substances, which play a relevant role in periodontal therapy and prevention; Cell behaviours on Ti-implants with different surface treatment; Stem Cells in Dentistry: Influence of mechanical stress remodelling of stem cells of periodontal tissue, Stem cell mediatied Immunomodulation; Laser Application in Dentistry: Cell behaviours on laser ablated dentin slices.
