Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/x)

At the Medical University of Vienna, a position is available at the Neuroengineering Lab in the Center for Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering with reference number: 364/26 from full-time Postdoctoral Researcher (according to the collective agreement – employment group B1b), expected to begin on October 1, 2026 (6 years contract).
Your Tasks
- Executing and supervising research activities in Digital Health research pillar, with the focus on translational clinical applications for neurological patients, using innovative rehabilitative and telemonitoring technologies
- Supporting laboratory management and administrative activities
- Contributing to teaching, ethical commissions processes and grants preparations
Your Profile
- Completed PhD in engineering, physics, mathematics or a related technical field
- Prior experience in students’ supervision
- Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken
- Prior experience with software development and/or data analysis
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with digital health technologies (e.g. virtual reality, electrical stimulation, and wearable sensors)
- Experience in organizing and conducting clinical activities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience in ethical approvals preparations and reporting, grant proposal preparation
- High degree of communication and team collaboration skills
At the Neuroengineering Lab, in diverse and multicultural group with more than 10 nationalities, you will be able to work in real translational applications and improve the life of patients suffering from diabetes, stroke, spinal cord injury and chronic pain.

The minimum monthly salary for this position (Uni-KV, VerwGr. B1b) is currently Euro 5.014,- gross (14x per year) on a full-time basis and may be increased by taking into account relevant previous experience and other salary components related to the specificities of the job.
