Here is a summary of nutrition info I've found on
the net. This is not exactly exhaustive, as it is
being put together for a short "what the Internet
is" demo for some clinical nutritionists. My audience
will not care one bit about things like US grant money,
etc., so I haven't gone out of my way to find them.

A University of Arizona Library School intern created a *nice*
World Wide Web page that collects nutrition resources. If
you have access to Mosaic, WinWeb, MacWeb, Lynx, Viola, Cello
or another Web browser*, then point it at:
http://128.196.106.42/nutrition.html
I figured out how to use our Lynx browser, finally. This
Nutrition Guide that the student, Carla Smith created is
really super. You can get data, regulations, guidelines,
all kinds of great stuff. I admit I don't know Thing One
about how this works, but I hope they can keep this
service going and updated. Great stuff.

A veronica search turned up lots of entries, but none really
yell out that there's a "nutrition" gopher anywhere.
It looks like the NHANES I and II data is at U Mass somewhere.
The veronica entries gave the address as titan.ucs.umass.edu,
but I have been unable to connect to this address. It's
possible this is a private service for U Mass people only -
makes sense.
Penpages (penpages.psu.edu) has some neat stuff there for
students, which could be useful for people developing
courses.
Usenet: these were listed in the Web service described
above. Again, I haven't checked these out.
