TranSVIR unites four academic centres at the forefront of an aspect of vascular research with one powerful industrial partners and one SME with similar interests. A particular strength of the Network is the extent of pre-existing collaborations between Scientists-in-charge: the Principal Investigators in the Academic laboratories know each other well and have all collaborated successfully in the past. Similarly, the Scientists-in-charge for the Industry Partner currently collaborates with one of the Academic Partners in addition to many others outside TranSVIR. This will ensure a highly effective interacting Network.
