Nr12 Project PromoLi, Kennzahl: 271/24

Within the framework of the project PromoLi, Medical University of Vienna, funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection, is offering the position as a Pre-Doctoral Project Employee. The PromoLi project is a career advancement program for young scientists from the group of people with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses, aiming to support them and ensure scientific excellence.

The employment as a Pre-Doctoral Project Employee (PhD-Position, employee according to the collective agreement § 49 of the salary group B1 for university employees) is a fixed term contract for a duration of four years with the option of a one-year extension. The start date of the employment will be determined by agreement. The monthly minimum salary for a workload of 30 hours per week amounts to € 2,684.10 gross per month, with the possibility of recognizing previous relevant work experience.

 

Area of Responsibility

The advertised position within the project PromoLi project offers the opportunity to focus on the dissertation project, aiming to successfully complete it by the end of the employment period. The position entails the following tasks to integrate into the research field and prepare for teaching and research activities:

  • Participation in research, teaching, and administrative tasks at the institute
  • Participation in examinations and evaluation measures
  • Student supervision
  • Independent research activities with the aim of deepening one's own professional and scientific knowledge and completing a dissertation

 

Allocation of Positions

Graduates of master's or diploma programs from all disciplines belonging to the spectrum of Medical University of Vienna are eligible to apply for this position. The focus of Medical University of Vienna covers a wide range from biomedical research, medicine and the healthcare system.
