Biochemical properties

Nuclear transport factor 2 (NTF2) is a homodimer of approximately 14 kDa subunits which stimulates efficient nuclear import of a cargo protein. NTF2 binds to both Ran-GDP and FxFG repeat-containing nucleoporins [1].

Allergens from this family

Fungal NTF2 was identified as cross-reactive allergen [2].
