Biochemical properties

This family contains proteins homologous to the two characterised human gamma-interferon-inducible lysosomal thiol reductases (GILT) [1].

Allergens from this family

A wheat allergen, Tri a 27 (formerly Tri a Bd 27K) belongs to this family. The glycosylated natural protein, but not the recombinant one, bound human IgE [2].
