The completion of a degree at the Medical University of Vienna should be celebrated. That is why MedUni Vienna regularly invites its graduates to graduation ceremonies.
Academic degree
Graduates of the Master’s program in Medical Informatics are awarded the academic degree “Diplom-Ingenieur”/“Diplom-Ingenieurin”—abbreviated as “Dipl.-Ing.” or “DI” (internationally comparable to a “Master of Science”)—in accordance with Section 54(1) of the University Act (UG).
Participation in a graduation ceremony
Once you have received your graduation certificate in the Student Affairs Department, you can also register for the ceremony there. Depending on demand, a graduation ceremony is held 1 times a year (January - February) to provide a dignified setting for the university graduation.
Registration: 6 weeks before the start of the ceremony (Graduation documents must have already been picked up, in order to be allowed to register.)
Costs: EUR 80,- This amount covers all expenses of the celebration.
Certificate: You will receive a personal certificate
Date / Start: 19.01.2027 - 13:00 (students should be present 40 minutes before the start of the ceremony)
