Dear graduate,
You will receive your diploma at a graduation ceremony in November at the Vienna Konzerthaus. Here you will find important information for your participation.
Arrival of the graduates
Please arrive yourself 70 minutes before the start of your ceremony at the Artists' Entrance/Portier (Lothringerstraße, to the right of the main entrance). After check-in, you will go directly to the hall. Photos will be taken there (see also item "Photo & Video" below) and you will receive information about the course of the celebration.
Tickets for your guests
You can book up to 18 tickets with seats for your personal guests free of charge using your promotion code and print them out as "print-at-home tickets" (see ticket guide). Children also need their own seat. You will receive your promotion code by e-mail.
Please keep in mind that each ticket can only be scanned 1x at the entrance and therefore it is best to give the tickets individually and personally, or keep them carefully until the party. Please ask your guests to follow the audience information for participation.
If your guests include people in wheelchairs, or if you need more than the 18 tickets provided, please contact klaus.dietl@meduniwien.ac.at.
As a graduate, you will be seated in a separate area with your colleagues and do NOT need a ticket.
Private celebrations
After your celebration (the celebration itself lasts about 75 minutes), you are welcome to toast with your guests in one of the foyers at the Konzerthaus and/or celebrate extensively in the "EssDur" restaurant.If you are interested, the EssDur team at the Konzerthaus (01/512 5550, www.essdur.wien, restaurant@essdur.wien) will be happy to hear from you.Standing receptions in the foyers are limited in time (approx. 30 to 45 minutes) for organizational reasons.
Photo & Video
During the Academic Ceremony, film and photo recordings will be made of you, which can be published on MedUni Vienna communication channels and/or the portal of our photo partner (Zolles photo agency). In addition, our photo partner will take a souvenir photo in studio quality shortly before the celebration. The photos are available 2-3 days after the event via an internet portal (www.meduniwien.ac.at/sponsionsfotos). All pictures can be viewed in a photo album and, if you are interested, you can order them directly from our photo partner Bildagentur Zolles as a photo print in various sizes or file. The celebration will also be filmed - you will receive the link to the film about a week after the celebration. Arrival/Parking
The Wiener Konzerthaus is located in Vienna's city center, so the best way to get there is by public transportation (U4 "Stadtpark"; U1 "Karlsplatz"; 2, 71, D "Schwarzenbergplatz", 4A "Akademietheater").
For cars there are parking garages near Konzerthaus (Beethovenplatz, Am Heumarkt, Intercont).If your guests arrive from out of town, please consider the Park & Ride - possibilities (www.parkandride.at).
