(Vienna, 31 March 2017) The "Medical-scientific fund of the Mayor of the federal capital Vienna" is once again supporting numerous MedUni Vienna research projects. A total of 27 research project are being financed from the charitable fund.

The "Medical-scientific fund of the Mayor of the federal capital Vienna" is a charitable fund set up in 1978 by the Mayor at the time, Leopold Gratz. Research projects can be submitted to the fund twice a year. The fund is chaired by the Executive Councillor of the Business Group for Social Affairs, Health and Women's Affairs, Sandra Frauenberger. The funding grants average between 20,000 and 80,000 euros gross.
