This summer MedUni Vienna is once again inviting children to its KinderuniMedizin

Exciting activities to do with the body and medicine as part of KinderuniWien, Vienna’s Children’s University event

(Vienna, 02-06-2015) Once again MedUni Vienna is putting on exciting activities as part of this summer’s KinderuniWien event. At "From spectacles to artificial hearts –technology for life", which is the main theme of KinderuniMedizin, children will be let into the secrets of medicine and learn surprising facts about the human body and disease.

Running from 13 – 17 July 2015, KinderuniMedizin will include exciting and fascinating talks and workshops based on the theme "From spectacles to artificial hearts – technology for life", which will take place in the Lecture Center (Vienna General Hospital) of MedUni Vienna. Workshops and seminars such as "Living with an artificial hand", "A look inside the tummy – What ultrasound can do ", "What's inside your head?" Or "What happens when bacteria get into a wound" provide the children with insights into the functioning of the human body and the technical equipment used in modern medicine today.

MedUni Vienna's exciting supporting programme includes free first-aid courses for parents and siblings. These courses are modular and are provided by the Worker's Samaritan Organization and the Teddy Bear Hospital for young children and there will also be a presentation by Vienna General Hospital's fire service.
