(Vienna, 03 March 2021) In the recently published, prestigious "QS World University Ranking by Subject", the Medical University of Vienna has made the leap into the Top 100 in the "Life Sciences and Medicine" category. Austria's largest medical university has climbed 15 places relative to the previous year (106) and is now in place 91.
In the "Medicine" category, MedUni Vienna lies is 77th place (last year in the 51-100 range), and is therefore Austria's highest ranking medical university.
The QS ranking is based on citation frequency and a survey of around 100,000 academics and nearly 50,000 employers throughout the world on the subject of academic reputation and the employability of graduates. A total of 51 specialist categories are evaluated . Top of the ranking is Harvard University, closely followed by the University of Oxford and Stanford University.
