Christiane Druml reappointed as member of the Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé (ANSM)

(Vienna, 07 December 2020) The French Ministry of Health has reappointed Christiane Druml, Head of MedUni Vienna's medical history collections in the Josephinum, as an expert on the Scientific Advisory Board of the French National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM).

Druml, who is Chair of the Austrian Bioethics Commission and former Vice Rector of MedUni Vienna, has been a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the ANSM (Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé) since 2015, contributing her expertise to the decision-making regarding the approval of drugs and health products in France. Each term of office runs for three years.

About Christiane Druml
Christiane Druml is a lawyer and bioethicist. She has been Chair of the Austrian Bioethics Commission since 2007. From 2011 until 2015, she was Vice Rector for Clinical Matters of the Medical University of Vienna and, since 2012, she has been Director of the Josephinum – medical collections and history of medicine. In January 2016, she was entrusted with management of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics at the Medical University of Vienna.
