We hop on our bikes and not only improve our own health, but also save money and protect the environment. We also want to make MedUni Vienna the most “cycling-friendly” university in Austria.
As part of the “Austria cycles” campaign in 2025, more than 1,250 employers, 660 municipalities, 840 associations, and 150 educational institutions collectively covered over 37 million kilometers by bike, which is equivalent to cycling around the world 928 times. This meant that more than six million kilograms of CO2 were saved by cycling instead of driving. 116 employees and students at the Medical University of Vienna contributed 103,233 km to this total. In 2025, MedUni Vienna was the most active newcomer among Austria's educational institutions.
MedUni Vienna is participating again this year and is calling on all employees and students to pedal for their university.

If you have already taken part in 2025, you do not need to register again - but please check under ‘Community’ whether MedUni Vienna is registered as an organiser.
