In its anniversary year, MedUni Vienna is getting sporty: all staff and students are invited to take part in the “Österreich radelt/ Austria Cycles" campaign and pedal for their own health and for MedUni Vienna. Every kilometer cycled counts: whether to work, to school, to the shops or at the weekend, alone or as a group.
In its anniversary year, MedUni Vienna is getting sporty: all staff and students are invited to take part in the “Österreich radelt/ Austria Cycles" campaign and pedal for their own health and for MedUni Vienna. Every kilometer cycled counts: whether to work, to school, to the shops or at the weekend, alone or as a group.
With " Austria Cycles", members of clubs, companies, districts, schools and universities get on their bikes and not only promote their own health, but also protect the environment.
In 2023, more than 700 companies, 590 municipalities, 230 clubs and 160 educational institutions covered a total of over 32.8 million kilometers by bike and cycled the equivalent of over 820 times around the world. This means that more than 5.7 million kilograms of CO2 were saved by cycling trips that replaced potential car rides.
MedUni Vienna is also taking part in 2024 and all employees and students can become part of Austria’s largest cycling community and collect kilometers for MedUni Vienna.
All registered kilometers between 20 March and 30 September will be counted.

In March, employees, students and Alumni Club members can present their MedUni Vienna ID card for a complete bike service at NORA PURE SPORTS for €49.50 instead of €99 (e-bike: €59.90 instead of €119).
